Essentials Day Spa is...
GOING GREEN!
Our staff at Essentials Day Spa is working daily to do our part to help our planet to stay healthy by conserving and recycling. Listed below are some of the ways we do our best to help this beautiful planet stay beautiful for many generations to come. We are always looking for new ways to further our efforts in going green. If you have any suggestions, we would love to hear them!
- We recycle paper, plastic bottles, glass bottles, cans and ink cartridges
- By collecting hair to send to Matter of Trust Foundation, we are assisting their efforts in cleaning up the oil spills currently polluting our oceans. Please go to MatterofTrust.org for more information, or to see how you can help as well.
- We recycle all of our color bottles, and color tubes
- All of our old and or used equipment gets donated, or recycled
- Our light bulbs have been replaces with longer lasting eco-friendly bulbs to conserve energy
- Our spa lights stay at their lowest when not in use, and not all bulbs are turned on during the day throughout the salon and spa, just those that are deemed necessary
- Due to the high amount of laundry a salon and spa can go through, we have switched to a high efficiency washer and dryer so that we use less water, and conserve electricity.
- The soaps that we use for our laundry are bio-degradable, and environmentally safe as well as concentrated
One thing Essentials salon has always been proud of is our charity work and community outreach programs. We work with organizations such as Matter of Trust and Arbor Day Foundations, as well as donate to members of the community through locations such as schools, local businesses, and various charity organizations. In doing so we are helping not only the environment, but our community as well.
